1. Reduces “bad enzymes” Matrix Metalloproteinases (MMPS)
MMPs contribute to inflammation and the breakdown of collagen. They are also implicated in metabolic disorders of the connective tissue, which can lead to conditions such as acne, eczema, and dermatitis. Most ultrasound systems use a single frequency, typically in the range of 1 to a maximum of 5 MHz, the therapeutic effect is thus far below the superficial skin layers. LDM® uses a special frequency of 10 MHz other than 1 and 3MHz, which allows the energy to work effectively on the epidermis and dermis, where disease processes take place. In addition, the system switches and combines frequencies at timed intervals, ensuing better dynamic pressure distribution in the tissue over several skin layers.
After cleansing the skin, a layer of gel is applied to the treatment area. An ultrasound probe is then gently glided over the targeted region. The procedure is comfortable, with no pain or downtime.
