Exosome Treatment

Exosomes are tiny vesicles or “bubbles” released by various cells in the human body. They contain bioactive molecules such as growth factors, amino acids, lipids, peptides and genetic material. These nanoparticles act as messengers and transmit signals to unhealthy cells, triggering them to regenerate. As ageing occurs, our skin cells shrink and exosomes deplete, exosome treatment allows fresh exosomes to swoop in to instruct skin cells to repair and regenerate. Depending on the signal transmitted, this results in an exponential increase in collagen and elastin, reduced pigment production, improved wound healing, and reduced inflammation. Skin becomes visibly plumper, firmer, brighter and smoother.

The exosomes we use at s.k.MED are extracted meticulously from botanical stem cells and processed using patented technology. The end product is highly purified, contains 6 billion particles, 71 types of growth factors, more than 1000 regenerative proteins, and together with premier activators, ensures a holistic experience in skin rejuvenation.

Benefits of Exosome Treatment

The following six images depict the penetration of exosome nano particles into the skin over 24 hours.

Anti-inflammation

Exosomes have formidable anti-inflammatory capacity. It complements the management of conditions such as acne, rosacea, hair loss and eczema.

Potent antioxidant

Mitigation of oxidative stress is a pivotal factor in the retardation of cellular ageing. Exosome treatment is fortified with potent antioxidants that neutralise reactive oxygen species and enhance dermal resilience.

Regeneration

Exosome treatment stimulates comprehensive cellular regeneration. It initiates the repair of damaged tissues, promotes angiogenesis, and restores skin barrier. These regenerative effects are vital for revitalising unhealthy tissues.

Melanin modulation

Exosomes downregulate cellular melanin synthesis and enhance luminosity and radiance.

The exosome treatment is performed alongside microneedling or laser therapy. These procedures create micro-channels in the skin which facilitate the penetration and absorption of the exosomes. In addition, exosomes work synergistically with the skin’s natural healing processes to maximise the benefits of the device-based treatments.

Exosome treatment addresses the following:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Pigmentation and dull, uneven skin tone
  • Uneven texture and enlarged pores
  • Hair loss
  • Dry and eczema-prone skin
  • Acne and acne scars
  • Rosacea
Most patients require 4 to 6 sessions performed at 3 to 4-weekly intervals.
The procedure is generally well tolerated apart from mild redness which typically resolves within an hour.

The treatment is virtually painless with numbing cream.

Exosome Treatment is usually combined with microneedling, microneedling radiofrequency or MicroLaserPeel.

JetPeel Treatment

Using an advanced jet propulsion technology, JetPeel effectively exfoliates and nourishes the skin for fast, visible results. To prepare the skin for infusion, the treatment uses pressurised, fine liquid jet streams at subsonic speed to exfoliate the epidermal layer. Medical grade serums are then directly delivered to the deeper skin layers through microchannels created by the same continuous flow of high-velocity jet stream. The treatment is akin to microinjections but without the needles and downtime.
JetPeel addresses multiple conditions which include:
  • Acne and acne marks
  • Congested pores
  • Dehydrated skin
  • Dull skin tone
  • Aged skin
JetPeel replaces conventional facial treatment. It can be done regularly, once every 2-3 weeks.
After the first session, the skin may appear brighter and softer. For optimal hydration and acne control, 3-4 sessions will be required before visible results can be observed.
You may experience slight redness and dryness, side effects are minimal.
JetPeel can be combined with BBL for better acne control.

Vitamin Infusion Therapy

Vitamin-packed serum is infused deep into the skin using electrical pulses following deep cleansing. These antioxidants fight free radical damage and lighten discolouration.

Depending on the type of vitamin used, this treatment can help with the following:

  • Reduce acne marks
  • Reduce pigmentation
  • Lighten and brighten the skin
  • Hydrate the skin
Vitamin infusion therapy can be done regularly, once every 2-3 weeks.
Vitamin infusion therapy is best done after ultrasonic cleansing or dermalinfusion liquid facial to allow for deeper penetration of ingredients.
