Procedures With Downtime

Sciton® MicroLaserPeel®

MicroLaserPeel removes the top layer of damaged skin. As skin heals, fresh cells grow and populate the treated area. The result is healthier-looking skin, often with improved texture, tone and colour.

  • Acne scars
  • Enlarged pores
  • Pigmentation
  • Irregular skin tone/ texture
  • Superficial wrinkles

Depending on the severity of the condition, results can be observed in one treatment. For maintenance, MicroLaserPeel can be done every 6-8 weeks.

Topical numbing cream will be applied pre-procedure. In addition, a cooling device will be used during procedure to reduce discomfort.

Immediately following the procedure, you may experience redness, mild swelling and a sensation resembling sunburn. The treated skin will peel within the next few days. Aftercare advice will be given.

Depending on the depth of treatment, most patients feel comfortable enough to return to work within 3-4 days.
MicroLaserPeel can be combined with BBL for better pigmentation results or ProFractional for deep acne scars.

Sciton® ProFractional™ Therapy

ProFractional uses erbium yag laser energy to create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin which are surrounded by areas of healthy, untreated skin. The zones of untreated skin invigorate the body’s natural healing process, while the treated areas stimulate production of new collagen. This process improves the appearance of acne scars, wrinkles and textural/colour irregularities.

  • Acne scars
  • Enlarged pores
  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Pigmentation
  • Aged and photo-damaged skin
Depending on the severity of the condition, results can be observed in one treatment. For maintenance, ProFractional can be done every 4-6 months.
Topical numbing cream will be applied pre-procedure. In addition, a cooling device will be used during procedure to reduce discomfort.

Immediately following the procedure, there will be redness, swelling, and a sensation resembling sunburn. The treated skin will scab and peel within a week. The application of aftercare products will aid with wound healing.

Depending on the depth of treatment, most patients feel comfortable enough to return to work after 7 days.
ProFractional can be combined with MicroLaserPeel to treat deep acne scars.

Subcision

Subcision is a simple in-office surgery for treatment of depressed acne scars. The principle of this procedure is to manually break down scar tissue that is anchoring the outer skin to the underlying deeper tissue. The release of the scar tissue and new collagen deposition lead to cosmetic improvement of scars.

The number of treatment sessions required depends on the severity of the condition. 3 treatment sessions done once every 4 weeks suffice for the majority.
The procedure will be performed with local anaesthesia.

Subcision is safe. Common complications include bruising, redness and swelling. Aftercare advice will be given.

The redness and bruising typically resolves within 4-5 days.

Subcision is usually combined with Sciton MicroLaserPeel and ProFractional to treat deep acne scars.

Electrosurgery

Electrosurgery is a simple in-office procedure. During the process, an electrode is passed for the purpose of tissue cauterisation.

Various lumps and bumps such as:

  • Milia
  • Enlarged oil gland
  • Syringoma
  • Viral Wart
  • Seborrhoeic keratosis

Wound healing will take around 7 days.
