Exosome Treatment
Exosomes are tiny vesicles or “bubbles” released by various cells in the human body. They contain bioactive molecules such as growth factors, amino acids, lipids, peptides and genetic material. These nanoparticles act as messengers and transmit signals to unhealthy cells, triggering them to regenerate. As ageing occurs, our skin cells shrink and exosomes deplete, exosome treatment allows fresh exosomes to swoop in to instruct skin cells to repair and regenerate. Depending on the signals or messages transmitted, this results in an exponential increase in collagen and elastin, reduced pigment production, improved wound healing, and reduced inflammation. Skin becomes visibly plumper, firmer, brighter and smoother.
The exosomes we use at s.k.MED are extracted meticulously from botanical stem cells and processed using patented technology. The end product is highly purified, contains 6 billion particles, 71 growth factors, 1800 proteins, and closely mimics human stem cells.
The exosome treatment is performed alongside microneedling or laser therapy. These procedures create micro-channels in the skin which facilitate the penetration and absorption of the exosome serum. In addition, exosomes work synergistically with the skin’s natural healing processes to maximise the benefits of the device-based treatments.

Exosome Treatment is usually combined with microneedling, microneedling radiofrequency or MicroLaserPeel.
Microneedling Radiofrequency
Microneedling Radiofrequency treats melasma, diffuse redness, rosacea and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It is also effective in reducing fine lines, big pores, acne scars, brightening skin tone, and rejuvenating the skin in general.Developed in Silicon Valley, Sylfirm uses multiple tiny electrodes to transmit a therapeutic electromagnetic field of energy that safely penetrates the dermal layer. The microneedling process triggers skin regeneration and collagen production, while the addition of radiofrequency energy further stimulates collagen production and skin’s natural healing response. Furthermore, the innovative SR3 (Selective Regional Regeneration Radio Repeated Pulse) technology reacts only to abnormal blood vessels and basement membrane, which normalises VEGF production (a protein that stimulates production of blood vessels) and remodels tissue membrane for dermal rejuvenation.
Many individuals have a compromised basement membrance due to sun exposure and intrinsic ageing. Remodelling this very layer between the epidermis and dermis prevents the migration of pigment cells to the deeper dermal layer. The onset of improvement usually starts within 3 days after treatment and the typical duration effect lasts around 3-6 months.
Injectable Polynucleotides 婴儿针
Injectable polynucleotides such as Rejuran is one of the latest anti-ageing treatments that has surged in popularity across Asia. Polynucleotides are typically derived from salmon DNA extract that is biologically similar to human DNA. The treatment increases skin’s regenerative ability, improves elasticity, and has an anti-inflammatory effect.
For scar treatment, specially formulated polynucleotides are administered. The thicker viscosity lifts depressed scars and initiates repair of scar tissue more effectively.

Skin Booster 水光针
As ageing occurs, the body’s ability to produce hyaluronic acid is reduced. Combined with external elements, the skin becomes dry, rough and less elastic. Through micro-injections of hyaluronic acid, skin booster treatment creates luminous and dewy skin by improving the skin’s ability to retain moisture.
Skin booster can improve the following conditions:

Skin booster is safe. Common post-treatment complications include redness, bruising and swelling. The application of aftercare products will ease the symptoms.

Injectable Hyaluronic Acid Biostimulator 逆时针
Injectable HA Biostimulator such as Profhilo® belongs to a class of bio-remodelling “injectable skincare” that addresses skin laxity and signs of ageing. This is achieved through the bio-stimulation of collagen, elastin and adipocyte stem cells that were lost through skin ageing. The treatment firms and tightens skin, boosts hydration and improves skin texture.
The type of injectable HA biostimulator we offer has one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid (64mg/2ml) among the different types of injectables. This is made possible with NAHYCO® Technology, where 32mg of high molecular HA and 32mg of low molecular HA bind together through thermal cross-linking to form the Hybrid Cooperative Complex Hyaluronic (HCC) Acid. This allows for lower inflammatory response and higher spreadability, which in turn translates to a better safety profile, fewer injection points, and reduced downtime

Administration of a full 2 ml syringe requires only 5 injection points on each side of the face or neck. This reduces discomfort and the risk of bruising or haematoma.
Side effects are minimal. You may notice small bumps at the injection sites, bruising may also occur. The benefits will not be immediately visible, full results are typically observed 4-8 weeks after the second syringe.
A typical treatment program is made up of two syringes, administered 4 weeks apart, a third syringe may be necessary for patients with more severe laxity. Maintenance sessions should be repeated every 6-9 months.
